Simple Dress + Accessories

I have a secret.  I am super lazy when it comes to putting outfits together, especially in the summertime, when it is so stinking hot and humid out.  Sometimes, dresses are the only thing getting me through the mornings.  Well-made dresses that fit you well (and gasp – are comfortable) can make you look and feel great.  Just add a few accessories and you are ready to head out the door.

Solid color dresses in classic cuts, like this v-neck t-shirt dress.  ASOS calls it a shift dress, but when I think of shift dresses, I think of them has having a more straight up and down shape that skims over your body.  Granted, my body shape is not straight up and down, but I still feel this dress has more of a loose-sheath style.

ASOS is one of my favorite sites because they have so many items, that it can actually be a bit overwhelming at times.  However, the site has a great search function and you can really narrow down what you are looking for.  I also enjoy shopping on ASOS because they have regular, petite, and tall sizes.  I got this dress in a petite size, but it is a good length for me – hitting about 2 inches above my knees.

These Tory Burch Lexington Wedges have been on my wish list since last season.  I was searching for a simple wedge in a neutral brown that would go with everything.  I finally bit the bullet when I saw they were back this season.  Mine are pictured in Natural Blush and there are very few sizes left on the Tory Burch website.  However, I suggest scouring the second-chance sites, like Poshmark and Tradesy.  If you are super patient, I am sure the style with come back, as it is a classic.  For now, I will link similar styles below.

The wedges stand 4.38 inches tall and have a platform that is about an inch.  They are true to size, super comfortable and I can actually walk all day in them.  Ok, stand and sit at my desk and then walk.
