Hi Friends! While we are one step closer to Memorial Day Weekend, the weather seems to be going in the opposite direction. I talk about weather a lot on my blog, simply because it impacts what we wear each and every day! Brisk mornings, warm afternoons, and chilly evenings can sure send your mind into a tailspin as to what you should layer. But have no fear, I have found the perfect transitional jacket from BLANKNYC and it’s under a $100!
In This Post:
Sun & Shadow Crochet Cami (sold out – listed similar ones below)
Topshop ‘Jamie’ Highwaisted Jeans
Marc Fisher ‘Adalyn’ Espadrille Wedges
BLANKNYC is a super cool brand that focuses on trendy tops and bottoms, but pretty cool and classic jackets and outerwear. This BLANKNYC Faux Leather Jacket is super edgy and has great detailing. I love the different lapels (one side is straight, while the other side folds over), zippers, and cool shoulder pads. The jacket also features detailed seaming along the sides and back, which gives a completely tailored look. As for the material, it is thick enough to wear during the cold months, but also light enough that you can throw it on over a cute Spring dress. How that is possible, is beyond me!
I also love pairing a cool, biker jacket with a more feminine and soft dress or top. I really like the contrasting textures and styles. Unless you want that all biker look! I am definitely going to pair it with this dress
What else am I wearing here? Of course, my trusty Topshop highwaisted jeans, Marc Fisher wedges, and Gucci Soho Disco bag. Below, I’ve gathered some more great jackets and sweet tops, to make that perfect combo.
MDW is upon us and as such, the beginning of the Summer season! Bring on the weddings, parties, bbqs, and pool parties. The only sad thing is I feel like Summer totally flies by because of all the things we try to pack in. My small piece of advice, and something I am committing to this year, is to “plan” at least 1 or 2 weekends a month where you can be home and actually just enjoy the nice weather and time with family and friends.
With that being said, I am going somewhere fun (and new to me!) this weekend – Annapolis, Maryland! An exciting collaboration with a gorgeous hotel will be up on the blog next week!
