It’s Friday and another week is down, and we are officially past the middle of June! Someone told me that as I get older, the time pasts so much better, and man, they were right. With so many things packing up each weekend, the Summer is seriously flying by and technically, it hasn’t even started! For today, I am taking a breather and catching you all up on what I have been doing and update you on some of my current favorites.
Another week has started, and I cannot believe how fast time is flying by! And oh my, has the weather in DC taken a turn. We are in full-blown summer mode and it is sweltering! This past weekend, I laid out by my pool, and could only sit for about an hour before I was roasting. But it has not been hot long enough for the pool water to be warm, so it was ice cold! What a dilemma! The end result? I went inside and laid on the couch while the ceiling fan was going…HA!

In my continuing posts about little white dresses (LWD) for the warm weather, I bring you this ASOS Smock Dress. If I do say so myself, it is the cutest little white dress and I cannot wait to wear it for an afternoon of wine tasting or a fun day just hanging around the city. This dress has loose sleeves and a cute high waist, that I find very flattering. I also got it in Petite, so it fits perfectly and hits me right about my knees, so I don’t have to alter it. For $40, I think it is such a steal! The dress is ASOS brand, which I really like. ASOS sells lots of other brands, and the quality and price can greatly vary throughout the site. However, the ASOS brand is well-priced and the fabrics and designs usually look very high-end.
The Tuesday after a 3-day weekend can be worse than a case of the Mondays. First, you dread getting back to the grind AND you have a short week to get all that boring, work stuff done. Bryan and I got to spend time with family and have a mini getaway of our own in Annapolis, Maryland. I am from the DMV (what locals affectionately call the District and the surrounding MD and VA area) and am ashamed to say that I have never been to Annapolis.
