24 Hours in San Francisco

San Francisco

Happy Friday everyone!  I am currently recovering from my awesome weeklong vacation to Napa Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area and already reminiscing about all the wine I had.  I flew into SFO, spent 4 days/3 nights in wine country, and then a full day in the city of San Fran. My Napa travel guide will be up on the blog next week (it’s a good one!), but for now, I’m doing a quick itinerary for San Francisco of what to eat and what to see.

Happy Friday friends! Today’s post is something a little different, and I hope to make it a fun addition to the blog. By now you all know that I spend minimal amounts of $$ on my actual clothes, but that I will splurge on accessories. Designer and luxury goods are one of my favorite topics and I can talk about shoes and handbags all day long!

Coffee + Catch-Up

Happy Friday everyone!  As I am writing this, I am struggling because of the East to West Coast time change.  Three hours does not seem like a big difference, but oof…I can totally feel it!  My cousin’s husband lives San Francisco temporarily and she and my niece Lily are also here from Iowa.  B is flying in tonight from Hong Kong, so it is a mini Family trip!

Spring Frilly Sleeves From Zara

Zara Frilly Sleeve Top

Zara Frilly Sleeve Top (also available in beige and black)
Vince Camuto leggings
Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps in Nude
Gucci Soho Disco bag in Beige

Brr…shooting Spring looks this past weekend was not an easy task, since it was freezing cold!  It was almost down to 18 degrees, and in these pictures, my hands felt like icicles.  However, no one wants to see sweaters and heavy coats anymore.  Plus, it’s March and in my opinion, the BEST month, so shouldn’t it be warm already??

As mentioned in my last post, Spring tops have been on my shopping list and this Zara top is great.  I have declared my love for Zara so many times on Stylista Esquire, and this time is no different.  They have great, quality pieces, at affordable prices, so that you can participate in the latest trends (florals, ruffles, one-shoulder tops), while also shopping for classic basics (Zara has great dresses).  I also love that Zara sells mainly solid colored items.  When shopping on a budget, buying items in solid colors are key to giving off a higher perceived value, as it usually makes the fabric and design look more high-end.

Classic Spring Top – The J.Crew Striped Boatneck Tunic

Phew.  After almost 2 weeks, I am FINALLY back.  I have been working so hard to redevelop my blog and I hope you notice a big difference!  Oh, and I have a (slightly) new name.  What have I been doing you may be thinking?  Well, I took on the task of transferring my entire blog from Wix over to my own host!  For a girl who knows very little are technology, html coding, etc., I totally surprised myself.  Mind you I silently (sometimes vocally) yelled at my computer, but alas, my new website is finally here!  It was truly a labor of love.

Now on to the fun stuff.  I am so over Winter and this awful weather the DMV has been experiencing.  Temperatures in the 80s one day, and then windy and freezing the next.  Spring better be around the corner, because no one wants to see sweaters and boots anymore.

On the subject of Spring fashion, J.Crew has been killing the style game.  But come on, don’t they always?  Particular this season, I want everything they have.  This J.Crew Striped Boatneck Tunic is going to be a staple in my Spring wardrobe.  It has a classic striped print, the blue color is perfect, and it comes with a cute tie belt.  The sleeves roll up nicely, to give you that casual look.  The top runs true to size, and I am wearing a 0 regular.
