Mosaic District – Shops and Eats

I am so lucky to have grown up in Northern Virginia.  My area, Falls Church, has gone through so many changes throughout the years and one of the best things is the Mosaic District.  Mosaic District is a one-stop center for shopping, eating, watching movies, and working out.  There are beautiful apartment buildings and townhouses, so those people are fortunate enough to walk the beautiful Mosaic District everyday.

When I was growing up, this area was a large area which housed businesses for builders and developers.  These people could come to the area to rent construction vehicles, i.e. tractors, and buy stone, granite, and tile.  While the name Mosaic District was not necessarily chosen based on the area’s prior usage, it was an appropriate choice.

There is so much to do in Mosaic District.  There is a Farmer’s Market everyday Sunday until 2:30 pm, the Angelika Film Center is beautiful and you can get wine to go with your popcorn (so much YES), and Muse Paintbar allows you to have paint night, every night.  I will spare you my beautiful works of art.

Below are some of my favorites spots in Mosaic District.  Pictured above is Brine, which is one of my favorite restaurants centered on great fish!
