Tom Ford ‘Anoushka’ Sunglasses
This outfit is finally up on the blog and it’s a good one! Both the Lush tunic and Lou Lou Boutiques shawl vest have become essential pieces in my closet, so I think every girl should have them.
This Lush tunic from Nordstrom is a tried and true classic. The style has been around for quite a few seasons now, so it seems like everyone loves it. First, the tunic is the perfect length – you can wear it true tunic style over leggings or you can tuck it into a pair of jeans or pencil skirt. Second, the open neckline is super flattering. For work, I wear a cami underneath, but for other times, I am comfortable wearing the tunic without one. Third, the sleeves are buttoned for a three-quarter length. Finally, it comes in tons of different colors for every season. Besides white (shown above), I also have it in mauve and military green.
The only downside is that it is is dry-clean only. But no fear, I can usually get away with using Dryel. If you haven’t tried Dryel before, it’s awesome for most items that are supposedly “dry-clean only.” You throw your items in the bag (comes with the kit) with what seems to be a moist dryer sheet, then the bag goes in the dryer so it essentially steams your clothes. Voila! I just saved you a dry-cleaning bill!

Now, on to the best vest ever! I love blankets and large sweaters. Also, I am always cold, but then hot. I know, I know…super high maintenance. But this shawl is the best of both worlds. It’s large, but not oversized, so wearing it feels like being wrapped up in a comfy blanket/sweater. Plus, since it’s a vest, I can wear it over shirts and not get overheated. It’s perfect for Fall, this light Winter the DMV is having, and early Spring.
Lou Lou Boutiques are all over the DC and Northern Virginia area, and they have a great website. I really like going into the shops because they have great accessories, including jewelry and handbags, and awesome gifts.
