I visited the Cox Farms Fall Festival this past weekend and it was amazing! Cox Farms has been a Virginia institution for over 40 years and I am ashamed to say, this was my first visit. The farm is located in Centreville and on a Saturday, it only took me about 40 minutes to get to. Directions were straight forward and parking was ample. It is $17 a ticket for everyone over 2 years old, so while it can add up for a group, there are plenty of things to experience and take in.
Of course, I took a picture of my cider donut. Yum! They also had a cider and apple station, where you could take an apple and grab some apple cider. The apple cider was so good, I bought a huge jug to take home! There is an awesome hayride, a corn maze that will have your head spinning, and a nature trail. There are tons of fun slides and playground for kids, and for the big kids, there are farm animals, a cow milking station (!) and the market, where you can buy Fall foods and gifts and pumpkins of all shapes and sizes.
My favorite part is picking out the free pumpkin at the end!
