Hi Friends! While we are one step closer to Memorial Day Weekend, the weather seems to be going in the opposite direction. I talk about weather a lot on my blog, simply because it impacts what we wear each and every day! Brisk mornings, warm afternoons, and chilly evenings can sure send your mind into a tailspin as to what you should layer. Guys. It is sweltering outside and I feel myself melting. Dramatic, I know. I spent this past Friday-Monday in NYC and I am missing it so much. My girlfriends from all over the world and from all parts of my life were present (totally not planned!) and it was amazing. I got to see my besties from NYC, Vermont, and Malawi (Africa!)! My heart was so full. I could totally get used to the lifestyle of hanging out with my ladies during the week and then meeting up with Bryan for a nice dinner, wine, etc. Shh…don’t tell him I said that!

Hi Friends. I’m writing this after the Caps just lost game 7, failing to advance AGAIN, and the Wizards lost game 5. Sigh. Did you all know that I’m a huge, huuuuuge hometown sports fan? Football is my first love, but let’s be honest, the Redskins have not and will not have a viable chance at the Super Bowl any time soon, but the Caps, Wizards, and Nationals are always on the cusp! The Wizards are so close to the Eastern Conference finals, I can taste it! I know, I know, a Sports blog this is not. So let’s get back to our regularly scheduled program.

Today, I am finally sharing what Bryan got me for my birthday, plus one of the best tops for Spring. Ok, my birthday was about a month ago, but I had to wait and get some nice pictures of this baby! I have wanted a bucket bag for a long time, since I find it trendy while still classic. Plus, I have an unhealthy obsession with Ted Baker, and I wish I owned every single dress he ever made. If only my wallet could handle that!
