Guys.  It is sweltering outside and I feel myself melting.  Dramatic, I know.  I spent this past Friday-Monday in NYC and I am missing it so much.  My girlfriends from all over the world and from all parts of my life were present (totally not planned!) and it was amazing.  I got to see my besties from NYC, Vermont, and Malawi (Africa!)!  My heart was so full.  I could totally get used to the lifestyle of hanging out with my ladies during the week and then meeting up with Bryan for a nice dinner, wine, etc.  Shh…don’t tell him I said that!

It was a bit chilly in NYC, but like I said, temperatures in DC are quickly rising!  This BB Dakota Barnes Dress is perfect for the warm weather.  Yes, it’s black, so it will capture some heat.  I wish I would have kept the white one too!  Luckily, the lightweight material and airy-ness of the dress will keep you cool!  There is a nice lace detail around the neck and a pearl button closure on the back of the collar.  I also love the cute bottom, which flows nicely when you walk.

These Jeffrey Campbell ‘Rodillo-Hi’ wedges are back in action (I also wore them in my last post here) and I think they look great with this dress.  I bought these wedges two years ago, and Jeffrey Campbell is still making them, along with similar variations.  I love these Rayos sandals because of the circular design on the sides.  The wedges also look super cool in black.  They’re pretty comfortable, except that the front of the sandal can be a tiny bit uncomfortable when you put them on.  Just need to break them in!  Jeffrey Campbell shoes are really great quality, and they still look great after two years!
