Hi Friends. I’m writing this after the Caps just lost game 7, failing to advance AGAIN, and the Wizards lost game 5. Sigh. Did you all know that I’m a huge, huuuuuge hometown sports fan? Football is my first love, but let’s be honest, the Redskins have not and will not have a viable chance at the Super Bowl any time soon, but the Caps, Wizards, and Nationals are always on the cusp! The Wizards are so close to the Eastern Conference finals, I can taste it! I know, I know, a Sports blog this is not. So let’s get back to our regularly scheduled program.
I am so over this awful weather the DMV has been having, because Spring is nonexistent! It’s been so cold, that I have to use the heater at work! Even though the weather is not cooperating, I have been hard at work updating my Spring/Summer wardrobe. White is one of my staple wardrobe colors and in my opinion, a little white dress is perfect for both casual and formal looks.
This BB Dakota V neck dress is going to be a recurring look during the warm weather this Summer. The material is textured and lined, but lightweight, so you don’t have to worry about it being see-through. You can’t really see it in the pictures, but the a drop-waist is a simple, but nice touch. Plus, there are pockets and I LOVE a dress with pockets. Currently, this dress is on sale at 6pm.com for under $40, which is a total steal. I got an XS and it fits great, so I definitely suggest sizing down.
I am wearing the Jeffrey Campbell perforated wedge sandals, which have been around for quite a few seasons now. Even though the design is super unique, they are a great neutral shoe that I can pair with jeans and dresses all Spring and Summer long. The ties and sides of the shoe take a bit to loosen up, but when they do, these wedges will become one of your favorites. I’ll have more pictures of them in an upcoming post!
For now, I’ve included them and some more white dresses I am loving right now. I am off to NYC this weekend to stay with Bryan and my BFF, who is fighting the good fight for global health in Malawi, is coming home to VA and will be in NYC too!
