Whew, this week has flown by! I was busy finishing up some projects at work and getting all the Christmas things ready.
Monday, the Yelp NOVA and MD Burbs teams had our annual Holiday dinner at Hong Kong Palace. It was some of the best Szechuan Chinese food I have ever had! Here is my Yelp review, in case you are interested.
Tuesday, Bryan treated me to The Nutcracker at The Warner Theatre and dinner at Rasika. I love The Nutcracker and it brings back so many memories of when I was practicing around the clock and getting ready to perform in The Nutcracker every year! The Warner Theatre is a beautiful venue and it totally put us in the holiday spirit.
Wednesday was a long day at work, so I was happy to head to the gym and teach Zumba. I needed to burn off all the cookies I have been eating, see here, and all the foods and desserts I WILL be eating in the near future.
Last night, I headed to Orange Theory for another workout and then had Christmas dinner with my dad. Peking Duck is not necessarily traditional, but it reminds me of A Christmas Story where the family ends up eating Christmas dinner at a Chinese restaurant. I got my dad and his girlfriend matching Patagonia ‘Synchilla’ fleece pullovers, because, why not?!
Today, we are heading to Upstate NY, where Bryan is from. Currently, we are baking cinnamon rolls and opening up our presents to each other. The car has no additional room for any of our own presents, so they must be opened now!
If any of you are traveling, I wish you safe travels, and to everyone, I wish you Happy Holidays!
