Hi Friends – it’s been a loooong time. Apologies are in order as I have been in a world of my own. I was gone for the majority of March, which was my birthday month, so I am taking over April…haha. I made my first trip, but not last, to the Motherland, Vietnam. It was an emotional, life-changing trip, and I can’t wait to share some more photos with you all!

My last post was in February and honestly, with the weather outside, we should still be wearing sweaters! But maybe by wearing Spring clothes, Spring will decide to officially stay. I am getting my Spring/Summer wardrobe together and this outfit is one of my favorites. Two of my favorite recent buys, my Gucci Ace Sneakers and BP. Denim Jacket, will be on the Insta constantly.

First up, this ASOS Scalloped Mini Dress. ASOS is awesome for affordable dresses and they have a huge selection. Their dresses come in Tall and Petite, so you can find your perfect fit. This dress is actually two pieces connected together – hence the crop top look – without it being a crop top. Genius! ASOS sizing can be a bit off, so I usually go one size up. At under $50, it’s a great buy, and perfect for throwing on to run out the door.

Now onto the jacket. I grabbed this denim trucker jacket from the BP. section at Nordstrom on a whim and it’s already been worth the price. I brought it with me to Vietnam and wore it almost everyday to shield myself from the sun. The old, vintage-y look makes it cool and casual, so perfect for throwing on over any outfit. Denim jackets have been back in style for a few seasons now, so you can find them everywhere! Pick one that works for your vibe and closet!

For the finale, I give you my Gucci Ace Sneakers. These have been on my wishlist forever and I finally pulled the trigger. You all know how I love to invest in shoes and I could not be happier with these. They’re super comfortable, go with everything, and come on, they’re Gucci. I love the white and if you are like me, you want them to be clean! I sprayed them religiously over 24 hours with a leather protector and after every few wears, I’ll simply take a damp washcloth and clean up any spots. My best advice is to spot clean, so that the stains don’t set. The sneakers definitely run LARGE. Normally, I am a 5.5, 35 EU, and had to get a 34.5, so to be safe, you need to go down at least half a size.

Since Stylista Esquire is focused on high-low fashion, I’m going to start showing you the prices for my outfits. *Gulp* This is going to be way worse for me, then it will be for you. BUT you can see that I do practice what I preach – my clothes are totally affordable, while I splurge on great accessories that are timeless and will last me many seasons and years.
