Classic Black + White

I enjoy easy dresses that can be dressed up or down.  Topshop has great basic pieces that can you can build a versatile wardrobe around.  This highneck swing dress is a prime example.  Ok, well technically it is called a tunic, but on me, it’s a dress.  For most girls, I still think it would be proper dress length.

Mine is a sleeveless version, but it also comes in a short sleeve and long sleeve style.  The dresses are a jersey material, so they don’t wrinkle.  I bring them whenever I travel, as they are cute enough to wear on a plane/train, and when you arrive, it won’t look like you were just tossed around like a rag doll.

I called this white blazer my lab coat.  I got it in petite sizing, so it actually hits mid-thigh, which is what I was looking for.  The material is mid-weight, so it is more of a transition piece.  It is way too hot now in the DMV to wear this blazer, but it was great in the very short “Spring” season we had.  The sleeves are still a bit long for me, but as is the story of my life.  However, I enjoy the cuffed look.  My exact blazer is from the brand Mural, but I think two very similar options above.

As for shoes, mules are still popular this season.  I love this Jessica Simpson pair very much.  They are the “Rian” mule and I got them last season.  You can probably find them on eBay or Poshmark.  I love shopping on Poshmark for pieces that I like, but which are not sold anymore.  It may take a bit of time and effort, but sometimes you just can’t get that pair of shoes or dress out of your mind!  And it is oh so satisfying when you find it and can snag it at a fraction of the price!  I will link some great mule options below.
