At this age, I’ve come to realize that no, I cannot pull together a new and different outfit every single day of the week. Especially when I have to head into the Office, go teach barre, attend an event, and/or meet Bryan or my girlfriends all in one day. There are just too many things to do, PLUS I admittedly have too many things in my closet. Let’s face it, you end up grabbing the same pieces over and over again right?! That’s where my staple closet pieces come in handy. These are 5 items I reach for to pull my outfits together. Whether you are looking to save money or pare down your wardrobe, these items are a great base for any look.
The Tie Trend + My Favorite Shops in Clarendon
Happy Monday friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! My was super busy, but in the fun, I can’t complain way. Mainly, it was filled with good food and wine, so you can never go wrong with that combo. For today’s post, I’m talking about of my favorite trends of the moment. I adore the tie/knot trend and luckily, it’s not going away anytime soon! Simple details really make a shirt and I love solid color tops in neutral/semi-neutral colors with unique designs. I rarely wear jeans, but when I do I love pairing them with a fun shirt and great shoes! This Hinge Tie-Back top is a great example of what I’m talking about. It’s currently sold out, so I’ve linked a bunch of great tie-tops below!
My Favorite Summer Outfits – Instagram Round-Up
Hi Friends! A bunch of my favorite items I have bought/worn over the past couple of months are back in stock in pretty much ALL sizes, so I had to share them with you! As we all know, clothes come and go, and things (especially in the days of social media) sell out so quickly. Below, are some of my favorite summer outfits from this season that you can still wear now and into early Fall. And for my gals in warmer climates, lucky you can wear them for much longer!
The Best Peplum Top under $30 + My All-Time Favorite Coffee Shop in D.C.
It’s official. This BP. Peplum Top is my favorite, looks great, ride-or-die top for Summer. I love a good peplum and this style is so perfect. It hits me at a great spot, which doesn’t make me look like a balloon. The material is a thick linen, with a lining, so it is super lightweight and cool, but at the same time, very structured, which I really like in a peplum top. In my opinion, the high neckline is super flattering on my smaller chested gals. For this top, I wear these Hollywood Fashion Secrets Coverups. They are super comfortable, easy to use, and traceless under dresses and tops! Also, pssh…I’m also going to wear this top in the Fall with either a long cardigan or moto jacket!
Chicago Travel Guide – What to Do, See, and Eat
I can honestly say I fell in love with The Windy City! As some of you may have seen through my Instagram stories, I was in Chicago for The Blog Societies Conference. If you haven’t heard of The Blog Societies, or TBS, it’s a tight-knit network of bloggers started by Cathy and Jessica, who are amazing bloggers! I’m sure you follow one or both of them already! They are so talented in what they do, and luckily, they decided to share their knowledge and connections with fellow bloggers. I’m so thankful for them for introducing me to some wonderful ladies and for giving me an excuse to visit Chicago! Below, I’m talking about some of the fun things I did in the city, for when you get the chance to spend some time in Chi-Town.
